What taxis to use in Stockholm
As in many countries today there are a lot of taxis to choose from and so is the case in Stockholm too. But there are things you need to know before getting a taxi and especially what taxis to use in Stockholm.
In Stockholm taxis run on meter unless you book a taxi through an app as Uber or Bolt. Sometimes the Stockholm taxi companies offers fixed prices, as going to the airport.
In the back seat window of all taxis is a sticker with information about the price per 10/km. This is the first thing to look at and for before you start your ride. There is not really any regulations to prices but all drivers need to be transparent about the fees.
This car cost 495 SEK per 10 km, or $45 per 6,2 miles. This is a must to check as there are cars that are charging you 9000 SEK per 10 km, or $840 per 6,2 miles and it is all legal. That makes some trips extremely expensive.

Remember that all taxis are running on taxa meter and if someone say differently just grab another one.
How to find a taxi?
At Arlanda Airport you can just follow the sings to the taxis. If you booked an app car, look for the right pic up place. In Stockholm city there is a taxi stand at the railway station. Cars come and go all time and you'll know if a car is free if the Taxi sign on the roof is lit up.
How to pay for the taxi?
The only payment method is by card. Unless you used Uber or Bolt and your trip has been pre-paid. No taxi company accept cash as a payment.
